THE GROWING PROBLEM OF OCCULTISM AND SATANISM

THE GROWING PROBLEM OF OCCULTISM AND SATANISM

Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 18:10

EXPOSITION
The occult is on the rise; many young people are seeking their spiritual identity through Satanism. Satanism has become an issue of great concern in our society. It is a phenomenon that crosses the city limits into the rural areas of our nation. The news wires carry story after story about young children being kidnapped, only to be found later as victims of some bizarre ritualistic crime.
The primary goal of such satanic involvement is to alter people's values and turn them against themselves, their beliefs, family, God, and society.
You have a very bright destiny to fulfill but the devil through its schemes wants to interrupt God’s agenda concerning you. When life challenges arise, the devil quickly comes closer to offer you alternative means which makes falsehood appear like truth. All the devil aims at is to turn you against your God so it can have a chance to destroy you. You need to understand that turning to witchcraft and occult powers are not lasting solution to your problems. Also note that, even if God does not save you the devil cannot deliver you.
KEY VERSES:
2Thessalonians 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

PRAYER: I thank you LORD for saving me. Help me remain in you all my days on earth.

IN THE VALLEY OF DECISION - A PASTOR AND FETISH PRIEST IN DILEMMA

 GETTING FOCUSED AND STABLE

Scripture Reading: Joshua 24:15
A man of God with evangelical orientation lived in a city on a mountain. The testimonies given by his converts suggested that he was positively impacting their lives. Many lost souls were saved through his ministry. His zeal and passion for evangelism took him to the next town which was also on another mountain, thus the two towns are separated by a valley.
One day, the man of God picked his Bible and bicycle and departed for the other city for witnessing. He had a lot of souls won through house to house approach. The last house he visited was for a fetish priest. He preached to the fetish priest boldly. The fetish priest decided to surrender to Jesus. Then some visitors came to the house with much provision, money and a cow as thank giving to the gods. The man of God said in his heart, he will come to the fetish priest for some powers so he can also get money and provision.
That night, the F. priest packed all his idols and images, tied it to his bicycle and set off towards the man of God’s town to get it burnt by the pastor. The pastor also picked his bible and bicycle and heading towards the F. priest town for magical power. In the valley, the pastor and the F. priest collided and each of them died instantly. Who do you think will make it to heaven?
Because of probably hardships, the pastor could not hold unto his faith. A PASTOR AND A FETISH PRIEST IN THE VALLEY OF DECISIONA PASTOR AND A FETISH PRIEST IN THE VALLEY OF DECISION He could no longer focus on his eternal reward but turned towards cult. His roots were weaker and could not stand the little hardships in life. He could not trust the LORD with all his heart like the three Hebrew boys who said we don’t care dying in this fire even if our God saves us not.
Key Verse: Colossians 2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

A CRY FOR DIVINE INTERVENTION - THE CRY OF THE APOSTLES

THE CRY OF THE APOSTLES
Peter and John had just commanded a man lame in the feet to rise up in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. When this miracle happened, the people rejoiced and praised God. Acts chapter 3.
This brought a very big problem to the two Apostles. The Pharisees, Scribes, Sadducees and the High Priest summoned them for questioning. They were threatened and commanded them not to speak in the Name of Jesus Christ again.
After these series of interrogations, threats and embarrassments, they let Peter and John go. As they found the other Apostles and reported the incidence to them, they all raised their voices with one accord in prayer. After their prayer, God responded with empowerment of the Holy Spirit. This enabled them to speak with boldness.
Acts 4:21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way of punishing them, because of the people, since they all glorified God for what had been done.
22 For the man was over forty years old on whom this miracle of healing had been performed.
23 And being let go, they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.
24 So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: "Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them,
25 "who by the mouth of Your servant David have said: 'Why did the nations rage, And the people plot vain things?
26 The kings of the earth took their stand, And the rulers were gathered together Against the LORD and against His Christ.'
11
27 "For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together
28 "to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done.
29 "Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word,
30 "by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus."
31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
Here again we see God intervening in the affairs of mortals. The threats of the High Priest and the elders nearly weighed the Apostles down. They almost lost courage to face the High Priest and his champions. Therefore, God refilled the Apostles with power and boldness to overcome the threatening challenges confronting them.
They therefore needed more signs, wonders and healings to boost their courage to carry out their great commission assignment. So when they raised a cry to Heaven, God could not be silent. Something has to be done. There was an intervention. God released fresh anointing to enable them effectively function.
Let us just consider few lessons from the Apostles prayer.
Jesus told them that signs and wonders shall follow them that will believe. They have believed and signs truly followed their message. Yet in their prayer, they still asked for signs and wonders. What type of signs and wonders again apart from what was following them? I am sure they needed more spectacular wonders and signs that cannot be explained but cannot be denied. Many of us do not ask for signs and wonders in our lives and families because Jesus have said they will follow us. The Apostles were the first recipients of this word and assurance yet they asked for signs and wonders. God also granted their request, so why do you also pray for miracles to be performed through God’s Holy Son; Jesus Christ in your life.
If you are weary and tired of circumstances endangering your life, marriage, business, work, family, etc, cry out to God for signs and wonders in your life. No matter how tough the situation seems to be, God can miraculously deliver you from it.
12
Are you faced with troubles and trials? Is it that the centre of your family can no longer bind you together? Or things are falling apart? You don’t seem to be progressing in life or all hopes are lost? Are you discouraged? Then, I have a suggestion for you.
Gather the family together and schedule a prayer time. Check the pattern of prayer that people prayed and God responded. Pray along that pattern as the Holy Ghost will lead you. Trust God for a miracle and see it done. Remember the Apostles were with one accord. As you come together to pray, agreed on the subject you are going to pray about.
Is it your business or company that is facing crisis or it is your church? Whatever it is, Jesus is capable.
The Bible says, after the prayer, where they met together to pray shook and they were refilled with the Holy Spirit. As you gather to pray ask the LORD to shake off every burden and fear. If you earnestly pray, God will release intervention for you. A cry for divine intervention. The Bible says that after they were filled with the Holy Spirit, they preached boldness. And great numbers were added to the church. I pray that after your prayer of intervention, God will increase you. Your promotion that has delayed be released in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. May your wealth and health increase in the Name of Jesus! May you prosper and excel in all your godly endeavours! As you cry out to God, may He respond with solutions in the Name of Jesus!
Many people are interested in complaining about situation in life. They worry about causes and effects and keep on complaining almost about challenges they face instead of praying. The Apostles did not relax and complain about the threats of the High Priest and his compatriots. Many leaders today have lost focus because of complaints. The troubles of life will be there always. The storms of life will always be there. But the intervention of God is what should be your daily focus.
I challenge you to stop complaining and questioning. If you will focus on Christ Jesus, God will send down intervention. May the LORD grant to you supernatural intervention in every aspect of your life even as you make your voice recognized in Heaven in prayer.

A CRY FOR DIVINE INTERVENTION - Musa Yahaya

THE CRY OF THE CHURCH FOR DIVINE INTERVENTION
Once there is intercession, there is intervention. That is to say, anytime the people of God intercede, God intervenes. Thus, God steps into the situation and make a move. Something new happens. Something amazing and beyond human imagination happens.
Something happened when Simon Peter the Apostle was arrested and imprisoned according to the command of King Herod. He had put Apostle Peter in the inner chamber of the prison with special guards. As if that was not enough for the King. Even in the inner chamber of the prison, Peter was in chains.
Acts 12:1 Now, about that time, Herod the king made cruel attacks on the Christians.
2 And he put James, the brother of John, to death with the sword.
3 And when he saw that this was pleasing to the Jews he went on to take Peter in addition. This was at the time of the feast of unleavened bread.
4 And having taken him, he put him in prison, with four bands of armed men to keep watch over him; his purpose being to take him out to the people after the Passover.
5 So Peter was kept in prison: but the church made strong prayer to God for him.
6 And when Herod was about to take him out, the same night Peter was sleeping in chains between two armed men, and the watchmen were keeping watch before the door of the prison.
7 And a great light was seen shining in the room, and an angel of the Lord came to Peter and, touching him on his side so that he came out of his sleep, said, Get up quickly. And his chains came off his hands.
6
8 Then the angel said, Put on your shoes and get ready to go. And he did so. And he said, Put your coat round you and come with me.
9 And he went out after him; and he was not certain if what was done by the angel was a fact, for it seemed to him that he was seeing a vision.
10 And when they had gone past the first and second watchmen they came to the iron door into the town, which came open by itself: and they went out and down one street; and then the angel went away.
11 And when Peter came to his senses he said, Now, truly, I am certain that the Lord has sent his angel and taken me out of the hands of Herod, against all the hopes of the Jews.
12 And when he became clear about this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John named Mark, where a number of them had come together for prayer.
13 And he gave a blow on the door, and a young girl came to it, named Rhoda.
14 And hearing the voice of Peter, in her joy she went running, without opening the door, to say that Peter was outside.
15 And they said to her, You are off your head. But still she said, with decision, that it was so. And they said, It is his angel.
16 But Peter went on giving blows on the door: and when it was open and they saw him, they were full of wonder.
17 But he made a sign to them with his hand to be quiet, and gave them an account of how the Lord had taken him out of prison. And he said, Give the news to James and the brothers. And then he went away.
18 Now when it was day, the armed men were greatly troubled about what had become of Peter.
19 And Herod, when he sent for him, and he was not there, after questioning the watchmen, gave orders that they were to be put to death. Then he went down from Judaea to Caesarea for a time.
- From the Bible in Basic English (BBE)
The wicked King Herod at that time had won the favour of the masses for murdering James. This was a great motivation to him to carry on the persecution and murder of the Christians.
7
Fortunately enough the arrest of Peter took place on the festival of unleavened bread and as a custom, Peter could not be murdered on that day because of the festival. This was the reason why he was imprisoned. The expected execution date for Peter was just the next day after the festival. The church cried for divine intervention for Peter.
I can imagine what was going through Peter’s mind then. May be he was happy that he was going to meet the LORD. It may also be that he was thinking of meeting his late brothers in the faith; Stephen and James in Paradise. Am sure he was also scared that the persecution was going to continue and his colleagues are going to suffer. I am much more convinced that there was no hope of Peter’s release from the prison except to be killed. Am sure also that even though the other living saints were praying but never hoped that Peter was going to be release from that special prison. Looking at how King Herod was determined to take Peter’s life, he did not allow any window of possible escape.
As the clock tickle moment by moment, the shadow of death was gradually falling on Peter. May be as his fears increased, he was praying Psalm 23:4 “………Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me”.
The Church became strong in prayer for the “yet to die” Apostle Peter. As this persistent and consistent prayer ascended to the throne of grace in Heaven, God could not be silent. Our father in Heaven bowed down His head and looked into the life of Peter and the Church, and heard the call and cry of His own people He purchased with His expensive precious blood. Immediately, God dispatched an Angel to rescue Peter from the awaiting death. Now when the angel entered the prison, he touched Peter and said to him get up quickly. That touch and command was stronger enough to break chains. The word of the LORD is active and sharper than a double-edged sword. The chains responded. And the Bible described that event as sudden.
7 And a great light was seen shining in the room, and an angel of the Lord came to Peter and, touching him on his side so that he came out of his sleep, said, Get up quickly. And his chains came off his hands.
The word of the angel did not examine the quality and durability of the chains, it did not assess the type of metal from which it was made and the technology by which it was invented. The word carried enough power to break the chains to free Peter. In fact, the words of the Angel were spoken to Peter and not the chains, yet the chain must release Peter, so it felled off.
Let me pause here and declare into your life the word of the LORD.
8
In the name of Jesus Christ every chain of any type and kind that have chained your life, success and progress, any cord or chains of poverty and diseases and troubles to break and set you free.
May be a particular life situation has imprisoned you. You are in the prison of ill health; paralyses, stroke, barrenness, chronic acquired or inherited, etc, spiritual or physical, I command those chains to break and set you free in the Name of Jesus. For if the Son set you free, you shall be free indeed.
Remember you have come to mount Zion as a believer in Christ Jesus. Hebrews 12:22 - 24
22 but ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable hosts of angels,
23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in , and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24 and to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaketh better than that of Abel.
As you have come into an innumerable company of Angels, I declare that from today, Angels will minister to you.
You are entitled to the services of Angels of God.
Heb 1:13-14 “But of which of the angels hath he said at any time, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to do service for the sake of them that shall inherit salvation?”
You see, now that you are saved through faith in Christ Jesus by grace, Angels of God are at your service.
Ephesians 2:8-9 “for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, that no man should glory”.
That is why the Angel of the LORD showed up in Peter’s prison. You also qualify for Angelic visitation and intervention today.
I announce the arrival of your angel today in the Name of Jesus Christ.
There is divine intervention on the way. Once there is intercession, remember there is intervention.
9
Peter taught he was dreaming as the Angel was leading him out of the prison. I pray that God will supernaturally step into your situation and affairs. I pray that by the time you finish reading this booklet of faith, your troubles and pains will disappear in the name of Jesus Christ.
May be your marriage is at the verge of breaking up. May be you have tried many times to get yourself out of drunkenness, maybe you are going through situations beyond your control, your intervention is on the way in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Now amazing things begun to happen to Peter; the prison doors were opening to let him out. The shocking part of it all is when he got to the Iron Gate. The Bible says the gate opened with it own accord.
Acts12:10 “And when they had gone past the first and second watchmen they came to the iron door into the town, which came open by itself: and they went out and down one street; and then the angel went away”.
I declare in the Name of Jesus Christ that every gate to your freedom be open by itself.
Job 22:28-29 “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee; And light shall shine upon thy ways.
When they cast thee down, thou shalt say, There is lifting up; And the humble person he will save”.
This is your moment of freedom. I command all the ancient gates to lift up their heads.
Psalm 24:7 “Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in”.
As the church interceded on Peter’s behalf, God intervened and Peter miraculously escaped that death. There was an Angelic intervention.
Keep on interceding for your wife, children, Husband, Pastor and family, and your friends who are in certain conditions and stop complaining. There shall be divine intervention. When the church cried out, there was intervention on behalf of Peter. If we will raise our voices in prayer of intercession for missionaries daily, you can imagine the number of doors that would be opened for the gospel to reach the unsaved.
A cry for divine intervention.
How God miraculously delivered Peter. It is your turn in the name of Jesus.

AT THE MASTER'S CALL

AT THE MASTER'S CALL. LET EVERYONE OF YOU REPENT AND BE BAPTISED AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE PROMISED OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.- ACTS 2:38

WHAT I HAVE FOUND WORKING ABOUT DIVINE INTERVENTION - Musa Yahaya

I have found out that anytime there is intercession, there is intervention. I also found out that

consistent and persistent prayer of faith result in Supernatural intervention. I again found out that fasting and prayer works to bring God into our situation. And finally, the combination of offering
(Sacrifice) and prayer result in Heavenly interferance.
I have been praying and I encourage you to pray also. The Master has assured us of His willingness to answer and respond. Let us take advantage of the abundant and sufficient grace we have received through faith in Christ to pray as if all depends on God. For the LORD will surely visit us.
Keep on praying.

MINING THE GOOD DEPOSIT IN YOU FOR GOD’S GLORY. Musa Yahaya

That good thing which was committed unto thee. Simply, "the good deposit."
Guard means protect jealously.
As in 1Timothy 6:20. God has also made an investment in Timothy (cf. verse 2Timothy 1:12). Like any other believer in Christ Jesus.
Timothy must not let that fail. Which dwelleth in us..

It is only through the Holy Spirit that Timothy or any of us can guard God's deposit with us
Peter was called to follow Jesus; for he shall be fishers of men. We did not see Peter fishing for souls until the Holy Ghost came upon him. On one occasion three thousand souls were won. At another time it was five thousand souls.

God has deposited most good deposits in us as his children. And until the Holy Spirit comes upon you in power and fire, you cannot mine and refine it. On the day of Pentecost there was fire to refine the explosion of deposits. Like mines company, the target is on the deposit and refinery of what is mined.

2Timothy 1:6 Therefore, I remind you to inflame anew the gift of God, which is in you by the putting on of my hands.
1Timothy 4:14 Do not neglect the gift in you, which was given you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the body of elders
Acts 6:6; 8:17; 13:3; 19:6; 1Timothy 1:18; 5:22; 2Timothy 1:6
My task at this time is to expose (unveil) the deposits in you to the glory of God. In fact, it is a commissioning service. The prophets and prophetess would come up. The evangelists would come up with power of proclamation and healings. The miracle workers and faith demonstrators would emerge. People of divine wisdom, knowledge and discernment will surface and with accurate prophetic utterances. Prayer warriors would be raised with new tongues and interpretations.

Again, it is worth noting that, some artist have good voices to sing but are not called “stars” until they are discovered and trained. Example is “Cee” and “Isaac” discovered through the TV3 Mentorship programme. They had good abilities from childhood but when the mining begun, they were considered ‘stars’.
The famous Michael Essien is not a university graduate (only completed sssce) but a man with much wealth. Talk of Stephen Appiah, John Mensah, Asamoah Gyan, etc they are not much lettered people but because they discovered and mined their deposits they are well known than many professors in our country.
