THE CHRISTIAN SECURITY

THE CHRISTIAN SECURITY
After a morning session of a convention we held in the year 2003, a woman who had asked for a prayer for deliverance sat under a tree with me on a field as I questioned her about some issues including the protection on children of God.
This woman who claimed to have had in her possession witchcraft and have stopped practicing it said, “If you see the genuine children of God, who lives in purity, there is a fire always around them. This fire virtually makes it impossible for forces to touch the person. But if those people with such protection sins, a way is created in the fire around them through which the evil forces attacked them”.
This was to me very wonderful and difficult to believe. I then set myself to really prove this from the scripture. Over a four year period, I had this understanding in the word of God.
Fire is defined as the condition of something burning with flames: destructive burning, a mass of burning coal, wood, etc. (Heinemann Dictionary for Ghana)
Certain fires burn but do not consume. This is very clear in the scriptures.
Jesus said I am the light of the world. It is a reference to this fire, it shows others the way to God.
“And the angel of the LORD appears to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed” (EXODUS 3:2 NKJV).
“The sight of the glory of the LORD was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel (EXODUS 24:17 NKJV).

These and other instances have we discussed from scriptures where mention is made of fires which do not consume but burns like the bulbs in our homes. They only show the glory of God. They serve as light to people. In the house of God this fires are upon some people. Men see them and want to follow them to church. Sometimes, it is not by their preaching but just their appearance and lifestyle. They show the way to God. This type of fire, I called it the burning fire.

Another type of fire discovered in scripture is what I call the consuming fire. In the days of Elijah, this type of fire was what God used to authenticate Elijah’s message. When the people of Israel turned their back to God something unique and spectacular must happen for them to return to the LORD Almighty. We read from I Kings 18:38-39 that Elijah prayed and fire came down from heaven and consumed the sacrifice, and burn and consumed the rocks, and licked the waters. This type of fire is capable of consuming water and even rocks. I pray that any problem that seen like water in your life, that makes you stuck in life be consumed in the name of Jesus Christ. And any trouble seeming to be very hard like a rock be consumed by this divine consuming fire in the name of Jesus Christ. Receive this with amen.

I must establish here that our God is a consuming fire. ”For our God is a consuming fire“- Hebrews 12:29.
Now that we have understood the consuming fire and the burning fire, let us see how this fire applies to the believer living in purity.

Jesus Christ is the true vine and we believers are the branches. Now remember that the son and the father are one. John 10:30; as well we know the Holy Spirit is also part of God John 4:24 For God is spirit.

If the father is a consuming fire, then the son and the Holy Spirit are also consuming fires. Therefore, if the LORD Jesus Christ is the vine, then the vine is a consuming fire. Let me here announce to you that we believers - the branches of the vine are not different from the vine-we are consuming fires.
Let me pause here and ask, “Have you seen any tree with metal or plastic branches, or stony branches before?” In the like manner, If Jesus Christ the true vine, is a consuming fire, then we the branches cannot be anything else but consuming fires - oh Halleluiah! By order of creation, birds reproduce birds, and “a crab do not begot a bird” It is said, “like father, like the son.” The consuming fire produces its type - we are fires that consume. Haleluiah!!

In John 15:4 “Abide in me, and I in you ……..” If we live in Christ who is the consuming fire, there is fire around us. Children of God, our security is assured! Halleluiah. If Christ abides in us then there is fire in us because He is consuming fire.
Fire within and fire around! What a glorious safety and security we have!
Look, if there be any chaff, sickness, and pain etc in your body, worry not just live in purity; it would be soon consumed in the name of Jesus Christ.
By the same fire, No demon or evil spirit can touch you. They would not come near your tent. Psalm 91: 10.
Psalm 91:10 “No evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling”.
I then understood what the woman told me about how witches and evils spirit see children of God. It is true and Biblical. If we live in Christ and Christ lives in us, there is fire in us and around us.
Consider this scenarios, a new raw charcoal in a coal pot cannot burn or consume anything. You can touch and hold both the charcoal and coal pot. But when fire is introduced to the charcoal for some time, the burning and consuming process begins. It gets to a time where the coalpot itself becomes so much heated that when touched it would result in burning. I hereby announce to you that, even your property including the clothes you wear, when evil forces touch them, they would experience the consuming fire of God. May your business, family and anything belonging to you experience this fire in Jesus Christ Name? Amen.

WHERE IS THE FIRE COMING FROM?
Where from this fire? “When the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire and one sat upon each of them. “Acts 2: 1 – 3. If you have not received this fire now I command in the name if Jesus Christ, that it comes on you – Receive it shout Amen!

“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance but He that comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: He shall baptize with the Holy Spirit and with fire: Mathew 3: 11. Jesus Christ, who comes after John now baptizes us into this consuming fire so we could be like him. How can a piece of dry wood enter into fire and comes out safely? Jude verse 23, some people must be saved with fear, pulling them out of fire ………” If we are not fires how can we enter into fire and pull some out to be saved?
If you have received the LORD Jesus Christ, then believe and understand today that you are surrounded by fire and there is fire within you. Do not fear therefore. Only live in purity and see this continuous protection of God in your live.
